SPOKELESS BICYCLE ADDS SOME 'COOL' TO PEDAL POWER.
Eco Factor: Spokeless bicycle designed by mechanical could build a human-powered spokeless bicycle. He has been working on a concept for a BMX bicycle with hubless wheels – and it’s starting to look pretty great! Bikes with hubless wheels may sound fantastic at the moment, but designers are striving hard at their workshops to make spokeless bikes a reality. But this team broke the mold and created a “human-powered spokeless bicycle”. Amen Design is the world’s first fully functional motorcycle with two hubless wheels. Some might say where the hell did you find this bike? Well I was doing some research on hubless wheel technology. Some might say where the hell did you find this bike? It would be really cool to see this on a chopper bike! There are some pics of a wood cruiser bike with a hubless front wheel here: http://s9.photobucket. It would be really cool to see this on a chopper bike! Yesterday, I saw a post on the Core77 blog that featured this concept rendering of a bike with hubless wheels. worst invention i ever saw, total fail in every area. For a class project, nine mechanical engineering majors at Yale built a bicycle with a spokeless back wheel.
HUBLESS - SPOKELESS BICYCLE WHEEL COMPILATION.
This bikeruns on the hubless wheels(spokeless wheels), Cool! By biker boys at Amen Design. This bikeruns on the hubless wheels(spokeless wheels), Cool! 6 Mar 2008 Slick that isn't the same bike you posted the left side pic of earlier was it? TattooedGQ is offline hubless rim bike. Only the back wheel is spokeless, but that's just because they only had a limited amount of time and money to build this. Well, The Rear Wheel is Spokeless Nine mechanical engineering students at Yale created this pretty cool bike in their mechanical design class. The third prototype is noisy and we need to work on the gearing but it did move under pedal power. This video was uploaded from an Android phone. Yale engineering students invent spokeless bicycle wheel. The aim was to use a hubless wheel to create a compact bicycle, with the benefits of a large wheel and belt drive. Since bicycles work pretty flawlessly as it is, you might wonder just why we need crazy modifications like spokeless wheels and the ability to ride sideways. Is there a particular reason you would rather have the front wheel spokeless? Was the completed prototype any lighter than the average bike?
ANOTHER HUBLESS BICYCLE CONCEPT, EXCEPT THIS ONE ROCKS - BIKE RUMOR.
Forget those road and bmx hubless prototypes, these guys from Yale have built a working bicycle with no hub, spokes or anything else in the middle of the wheel. With new advancements in materials and manufacturing techniques, modern or futuristic products are becoming minimal, presenting simple though attractive products. Well, this guys decided to build a spokeless bicycle. Admittedly, only the back wheel is spokeless, but there are reasons for that. the prototype only features a spokeless back wheel due to budget and time constraints. Whether this inspires you or irritates you is your choosing. I saw that there has already been a tentative thread about this subject, but it went nowhere. Based on what I know about wheels, pretty as this design is, I think it's less than how do I put it -- structually efficient? For a class project, nine mechanical engineering students at Yale devised a working bicycle with a hubless wheel. Bikes with hubless wheels may sound fantastic at the moment, but designers are striving hard at their workshops to make spokeless bikes a reality. Very good, would recommend to anyone, great quality for the bike!
